4th of July Festivities

So better late than never right?
I hope you all had a fun and safe 4th of July! We spent our weekend with my in-laws. Lounging in the pool, eating burgers and of course... Stadium of Fire! Now, living in Utah, the Stadium of Fire can be a little anticlimactic. But this year they really overdid themselves! Journey was the main attraction and they did NOT disappoint! Seriously, they still got it! Nate and I could hardly stay in our seats. We were grooving and singing along to all the songs! This was probably the most patriotic Stadium of Fire I have ever attended. They would have fun, silly people come and entertain but they always made their way back to bringing the spirit of what the 4th of July is all about. The fireworks were out of this world! They played "rock through the ages" and had the fireworks go with the classic rock songs and it was SPOT ON! So fun! Then at the end, they had an amazing group of men called Gentri sing a Patriotic Melody and the fireworks going off behind them. I mean.. Chills! Perfect way to end the night!
Now...The only downfall was that it took us 2 flipping hours to get home.. It is expected to be busy after a big event like that.. but we were stuck in one spot for about an hour. Pretty sure my husband was ready to chew out the traffic directors (they weren't exactly doing a great job obviously) but we finally made it home! With ashes and the smell from the fireworks, we all just passed out. Waking up the next morning was pretty rough, but we all managed to get up and got to church. Phew!

Here are a few pictures of our fun time at the event!

Thanks for stopping by!
